Welcome to Rabos Eatery! By accessing and using our website, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making any purchases or bookings through our site.
1. General Information
Rabos Eatery is an online bakery offering custom cakes, cupcakes, party packs, and baking-related services. We also provide baking classes. These terms apply to all users of our site, including customers and browsers.
2. Pricing
All prices listed on our website are in South African Rands (ZAR). Prices are subject to change without notice. Once an order is placed, the price is fixed.
3. Orders and Payments
To place an order, customers must provide accurate and complete details. Payments must be made at checkout through our secure payment gateway or via direct deposit. A deposit is required before we begin processing any order. Your order is not placed until it is paid for.
Deposits
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit for all orders. As a small studio, we can only take a limited number of orders per week. If an order is canceled, any payment made is non-refundable and non-transferable. All cancellations and changes must be made 7 days prior to the pick-up date. If canceled at least 7 days in advance, we will transfer any payment to another order within 3 months.
Please use the invoice number as a reference. The balance must be paid before or upon collection (no cash payments). The full balance is required for delivery orders.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to change the date or cancel an order, please contact us as far in advance as possible. Note that we may have had to turn away other customers to fulfill your booking, so refunds/changes are not always possible. Please note that the 50% deposit is non-refundable.
All perishable food items are made to order and are not eligible for refunds or returns.
Cake Flavor and Texture
Refunds due to flavor or texture will not be honored after the cake has been accepted and picked up. A percentage of store credit may be provided if the product is returned within 24 hours of pick-up, and if the quality does not meet our standards. Quality determination is solely at Rabos Eatery’s discretion. Refunds will not be issued if the cake is completely eaten or if issues are not reported within 48 hours.
Party Packages
A preview of the design will be sent for approval. No refunds will be issued for pre-approved orders.
5. Deliveries and Collections
Once an order is handed over, we are not responsible for any damages (see our cake care guide). We are not liable for any damage occurring to the cake during transport, set-up, or any time thereafter. Cakes are fragile, and damages can occur if not handled properly. Refunds are only provided according to our stated refund policies.
All orders must be collected at the agreed time or within working hours. In the event of non-collection, clients may collect the following day during working hours.
6. Custom Orders
No two cakes of the same design will ever be identical. Custom cakes are individually handcrafted. Inspiration pictures will be used solely as a guide. Amendments to your order must be made a week in advance.
7. Product Quality
Our baked goods are made fresh to order using high-quality ingredients. While some products may not contain nuts, they are made in a kitchen that handles nuts. We are not certified Halaal but do not use gelatine or alcohol in our cakes.
Guarantee / Disclaimer
We strive to ensure that your order is decorated as specified on your order form. Upon pick-up, adjustments can be made for an additional charge if not stated on your original order. If something is incorrect, we will make necessary changes immediately.
Each order is handcrafted, and decorative finishes are subject to the artistic interpretation of our cake decorators. While we can use photographs for inspiration, we do not guarantee exact duplication of work done by other decorators.
